The F.N.C.H.C

(Act 1 Scene 1- The Ba sing se apartment)
“Hey guys! Check this out!” Sokka yelled at the gaang! Sokka pulled out his freshly carved new boomerang.
“Wow…why are you showing us a curved stick?” Katara asked.
“It’s not a stick! It’s a boomerang. Since old boomerang didn’t come back I made a new one!” Sokka explained.
“Have you ever thought about buying a new one?” Aang asked.
“Why buy a new one when I can make one like a real man,” Sokka made a muscle that quickly drooped and turned to flab.
“You made a new definition for the word buff,” Toph joked.
“Very funny but watch, this baby will work even better than the old one!” Sokka through the boomerang and it went straight and then dropped.
“Yea! It works like a pro!” Katara clowned. Sokka picked up his dysfunctional boomerang and walked away scowling.
“Someone’s at the door,” Toph stated.
Knock Knock
Katara opened the door and there were two unsightly portly men there with big yellow grins on their face and dressed in rags.
“Good evening. are you Katara?” one of the men asked.
“Yes…and you are?” Katara screened the men from head to toe.
“We are The Four Nation Child Help Center representatives. F.N.C.H.C for short. After hearing how you helped take out Azula we knew you’d be a great help to kids around the world who are suffering from hunger and disease. We raise money to help serve kids food and get new clothing. At the moment we are dressed like the kids we help so you can see how poor they are,” the two men explained.
“You don’t look like your suffering from hunger,” Aang pointed out.
“Oh excuse us, we weren’t aware we were in the avatar’s presence, we would ask you to help the children too…but umm-” the other man started talking “you have other duties around the world. All we need is Katara.” Aang frowned.
“Because of how many needy kids there are it may be a long time before you come back though,” the guys said quickly in a whisper like tone.
“Wait how long?” Aang asked.
“Not long…” the guys looked away.
“Well I’m honored…I-I don’t know what to say,” Katara gushed.
“Well don’t rush we’ll be back tomorrow for an answer,” and the two men left.
“Wow can you believe this! They want me to help all those little kids! This is an honor, this is a privilege, this is a-,”
“Hoax,” Toph cut her off.
“A what?” Katara looked at Toph.
“A hoax. Something about them didn’t seem right…I don’t trust them,” Toph spoke.
“Yea Katara something about them was strange,” Aang said. Aang couldn’t imagine Katara actually leaving the group, and he didn’t even know for how long.
“So you guys are against me going away to help unfortunate kids?!” Katara started to get mad.
“No were worried about you!” Aang blurted out as Sokka walked in.
“Why are you guys worried about Katara?” Sokka asked.
“(sigh) These two men came to the door asking for Katara to help them go away to help kids around the world. They said she’d be away for a long time but they never said when she’d come back and there is something off about them that was just can’t get. We don’t trust them. I mean for all we know it‘s that crazy man with the poodle monkey tattoo you guys were telling us about that‘s running the operation” Toph explained.
“Well Katara if Toph and Aang don’t trust them there’s got to be a reason. Have you ever even heard of the foundation they’re saying exists?” Sokka asked.
“No but I’m sure it’s legit. I mean, who would ever lie about something like that?!” Katara lost it “Look I’m a big girl and I can make my own decisions. These kids need me and as long as there is a sole that needs me I will not rest!” Katara stormed out the room.
Act 1 Scene 2- (The next day in the apartment)
“Aang we’re going to go out for breakfast, you coming?” Sokka asked.
“Yea!” Aang hoped off the coach ready to eat!
“You Katara?”
“Yea Sokka, I’m not ready yet though…you guys go ahead I’ll come when I’m ready…,”Katara stated.
“Kay…come on guys they have an all you can eat buffet until noon!” Sokka yelled. Everyone left the house except Aang.
“Katara…please…listen to us and don’t go….we’re only looking out for you,”
“Thanks, Aang I appreciate it…”Katara hesitated before walking away and soon after Aang walked away too.
Everyone was out the house except for Katara when the two men came back.
“Have You made a decision?” the men asked.
“Yes, I’ll go with you and help in anyway possible,”
Act 2 Scene 1- The F.N.C.H.C boat
“Wow so where are we off too first? Oh I know! I once went to this really poor village in the middle of a river. The citizens there would be perfect for our mission!” Katara said.
“You know what we have some maps in the bottom of the ship…why don’t you go get them,” the men told Katara. Katara walked downstairs where she saw the map. She pulled out a map of the fire nation when-
BOOM CLANG CLICK!!!
It was a trap! She was stuck in a cage. The cage had piping hot bars so she couldn’t touch them without getting scorched and burned.
“UGH! They were right!”
“So our little water bender, you’ll make us a pretty penny,” the men said walking down the stairs.
“What’s going on?!” Katara demanded to know.
“There’s no F.N.C.H.C, we’re bounty hunters and we were paid to deliver the ‘mighty’ Katara to our boss,” The two men pulled up their sleeves and revealed that they each had poodle monkey tattoos. “Oh and don’t try water bending. This boat was made especially so you can’t bend. We stole it from the fire nation war museum. It’s from the first raids on the water tribes. Pipes shoot in dry hot air and you’ll only be able to get remotely close to liquid when you drink water except we will chain up your hands and feet so you can’t bend,”
“You guys are monsters! When I get out of here-”
“That’s the thing…you won’t” and the two men walked away leaving Katara in the darkness.



Act 2 Scene 2-The apartment

“I can’t believe Katara stood us up! She kept us waiting for five hours!!!” Sokka yelled opening the door. “Katara!!! Katara!!!!” Sokka looked for Katara.
“She’s not here,” Toph said monotone.
“What do you mean not here?” Aang asked.
“Hey guys come in here!” the gaang (excluding Katara) came to where Sokka was. “There’s a note from Katara, it says…I’m sorry it has to be this way. I’ve went and joined the F.N.C.H.C . I’m doing the right thing. Please know that I’ll miss all of you (yes even you Sokka) and I hope I’ll see you soon. Love, Katara. No…I can‘t believe this! Every time she has one of her stupid notions she goes along with it and believe it or not brings us into it!!” Sokka was burning mad.
“I can’t believe she just left…I mean it’s not like her,” Toph said.
“Maybe she was forced to write the note and go with them” Aang said.
“No, there’s no signs of a battle, struggle or fight,” Sokka got worried “we’re going to find her and bring her home!”
“But how, we don’t even know what direction their in or where they’re going to,” Toph pointed out.
“Wait…remember when we were in the swamp and I could tell where Appa was, well maybe I could do the same with Katara!” Aang shouted.
“It’s worth a try,” Toph replied. Aang went to the top of the roof and meditated. It was tougher since they weren’t in a mystical swamp…but it worked.
“This isn’t good guys,”
“What?” Sokka and Toph said simultaneously.
“We were right, she’s stuck in a cage at the bottom of a giant ship. She’s been captured and she can’t water bend,”
“Where is the boat?” Sokka asked.
“It’s near the serpents pass,”
“Let’s go!” and the Gaang was off.
Act 3 Scene 1 the Ba sing se boat dock
One of the two men came down to the bottom of the ship to where Katara was.
“Where going to get some ‘supplies’ on the dock. Your staying here and don’t give any trouble or there will be consequences,” and he was gone.
“Why didn’t I just listen to Sokka…never thought I’d be saying that. I need to escape. The steel is too thick for me to water bend through, and there is clearly no water here. The cage isn’t big enough for me to make my own water. I’m powerless. Sokka where are you?”
“There it is!” Aang shouted
“You do realize there are like 15 boats down there…,” Sokka said.
“Then which one is it?!” Toph said.
“Look we’ll split up,” The group split up when the reached the ground. So far every boat they went on was unsuccessful. Finally Toph found her.
“Katara!”
“Toph! I’m so glad you’re here, I’m powerless there’s no water anywhere!”
“Well there is metal!” Toph metal bended Katara out the cage “Let’s go!”
The two found there way off the ship but just as they were there leaving the dock the two men appeared.
“We’ll be rich for a earth bending master and Katara,”
The battle began. Toph earth bended but it was interfered by the other two men.
“Did we mention we’re masters too?!” They yelled.
Then out of no where a big wave came and swept them into the ocean!
“Aang!”
“Thank me later! Come on!!!” Aang urged the to come. As they flew away a group of police men came and arrested the two men.
“I owe all of you an apology. I was so caught up in the idea of helping the unfortunate that I didn’t listen to you guys, I’m sorry,” Katara admitted and apologized,
“It’s okay, we’re only trying to look after you,” Sokka said.
“Yea, we are,” Toph and Aang added. They then hugged and flew back to their apartment to end a very stressful day.
