Aang and Katara's First Date Part Two

Aang and Katara 1st Date part 2
(Act 4- Scene 1- The boy’s Bedroom-The Apartment)
“Well Sokka, how do I look?” Aang asked Sokka.
“Oh fine Aang…why are you getting all dressed up?” Sokka said slightly scowling and looking away.
“Oh this five star restaurant is opening up and they wanted me to cut the ribbon…um do you know where Katara is? ”Aang asked.
“Why would want to know?” Sokka looked Aang in the eye for the first time all night.
“Um, she kinda said she’d go with me…but as friends…going together…it’s not like a date or anything!” Aang blurted while blushing.
“Uh huh…,” Sokka stood up and faced Aang “just know this if anything happens to my sister it could be as little as a paper cut, just know, I will not be happy,” Sokka walked out the room leaving the threatened Aang confused.
“Momo do you think he knows?” Aang asked Momo.
“Skee,” Momo answered. Aang was wearing the ceremonial clothes he wore to Zuko’s coronation.
“Well this is it, today’s the night. Katara and I finally go on a date…wait…do you think she thinks this is a date or just one friend accompanying the avatar to a restaurant opening…oh no! I think she does think that!!! Oh no this is bad! She still thinks of me as a friend and not anything else!” Aang panicked.
“Skee skee skee skee skee!” Momo said.
“Your right I’m just going to have to help her see the light. Make her like me more than a friend! Thanks Momo!” Aang hugged Momo.
“Suki how do I look?” Katara asked Suki for her opinion on the baby blue strapless dress she was wearing for the night.
“You look great! Why are you so dressed up?” Suki asked Katara.
“Oh I’m going with Aang to this restaurant opening,” Katara said calmly.
“Oh that sounds like fun…sooo…what restaurant are you going to?” Suki asked.
“The Lion Turtle’s Palace”
“Oh wow! So you excited?”
“Yeah it’s just two friends going out to an event,” Katara lied.
“Oh okay, Let me help you with your hair,” Suki offered.
“Thanks,” Suki tied Katara’s hair into a bun, “there…I wish we had a three flowers or something to put in the bun,”
“Oh here,” Katara grabbed the panda lily and then water bended two ice flowers.
“Thanks! Now you look perfect!”
(Act 4-Scene 2- Out side the apartment)
Aang paced outside the apartment anxiously waiting for her to arrive out from the apartment. So much was on his mind that he was twiddling his thumbs like a fool. Finally….
Creeeeeek the door opened only to reveal Momo coming out the door.
“(Sigh)” Aang sighed and sat down on the stoop of the apartment when all of a sudden he heard a voice say…
“Are you ready?” the voice asked. It was Katara! Aang jumped up and looked at her amazed at how stunning she looked.
“Uh, um, (clearing his throat) yea I’m ready…you look great!” Aang said blushing.
She blushed “Thanks Aang you too,”
“Shall we go?”
“We shall,” the two started their walk over to the restaurant.
(Act 5- Scene 1- The walk to The Lion Turtle’s Palace)
Crack!
“Sshh Zuko! They can’t know we’re following them!” Suki whisper yelled Suki and Zuko were following Katara and Aang via rooftop while Toph and Sokka was following them underground using earth bending.
“Well it’s not my fault these people should really re-tile their roofs!” Zuko whisper yelled back.
“Aang you sure you know where your going?” Katara asked.
“Yeah I know exactly where I’m going…oh yea we’re going to make one stop before we go to the opening,” Aang said.
“Oh, where is it?” Katara asked.
“You’ll see,” Aang said with a grin. Aang led her down a long alley and earth bended a wall down until a beautiful garden with thousands of flowers expending for miles and a huge water fountain in the middle of it.
“Oh my god…Aang it’s…it‘s…beautiful!” Katara gushed and blushed at the same time.
“It’s nothing…,” Aang said and blushed.
“Wait, Toph why are we stopping?” Sokka asked.
“They stopped walking they’re just standing there.” Toph answered.
“Can you make a peep hole so I can see what they’re doing?”
“Yeah,” Toph earth bended an eye size peep hole big enough to see through “well what do you see?” Toph asked Sokka.
“Well…Aang looks like he’s blushing to one side and Katara looks like she staring in awe at something but what? Toph can you can the tunnel long and the make a hole big enough for someone to crawl though?” Sokka asked.
“Yeah I can do that,” Toph did as she was told and Sokka crawled up through the hole and saw what they were looking at from the other side of the garden.
“Oh my god! Toph this is amazing! It’s-,”
“They’re on the move!” Toph said
“Let’s move!!!”
It was getting dark and Katara didn’t know what to say, what to do, or anything!…
“The stars are beautiful tonight,” Katara mentioned trying to break the uncomfortable tension hoping this could do the trick.
“Like you,” Aang replied. Katara quickly turned away to hide her blushing.
“Did he just hit on her?! I’m gonna-” Sokka was cut off
“Do nothing! Like Suki said she’s growing up and if she likes Aang let her deal with it…you know how I say Katara isn’t your mom, well your not her dad,” Toph explained while walking away
“Ugh, now I know how Katara must feel with that remark!” Sokka stormed behind Toph.
“Did you see that Zuko, that was soo sweet!” Suki said.
“Your way too mushy,” Zuko said
“Well I’m sorry if my everyday emotion not’s gray and dark,” Suki said.
“Ugh Why couldn’t I just go with Toph in the tunnel so you could be with YOUR boyfriend!” Zuko murmured ducking behind the roof.
“Wait Katara!” Aang stopped walking.
“What is it?” Katara asked puzzled.
“Oh nothing I just thought I heard something like mumbling and whispering,” Aang said.
“Its’ probably nothing, come on let’s go, every one’s waiting for us,” Katara motioned towards the path. Aang started walking more slowly than he had
“I don’t know…it feels like we’re being watched,” Aang stopped and took his earth bending stance “wait I feel something underground two people…,”
Aang earth bended the ground and Sokka and Toph popped up from underground.
“Toph, Sokka what are you two doing here?!” Katara yelled.
“Keeping an eye on you that’s what!” Sokka yelled back.
“Excuse me Sokka but I never interrupted your dates with Suki now did I?” Katara lost her temper!
“(In Aang’s mind) YES!!!! She admitted it! She knows it’s a date!!!!! Flameio!!!”
“And Toph he pulled you into this!” Katara started to direct her anger at both of them instead of Sokka alone.
“Hey sugar queen this wasn’t my idea this was all your crazy brother’s idea! All I wanted to find out is who you liked. You brother was the one who dragged me, Suki, and Zuko into this!” Toph yelled.
“Wait Suki and Zuko are here too!” Katara exclaimed!
“Uh hi,” Suki said shyly appearing from behind the building following behind Zuko.
“Ugh! I can’t believe any of you! My best friends and my brother intrude my personal life and act like it’s for my own good! Ugh! Come on Aang!” Katara pulled Aang along the path.
“Where still going?” Aang asked
“Oh you bet we’re still going!” Katara declared.
“Katara wait let’s just talk this out…,” Sokka said more calmly.
“There’s nothing to talk about!” Katara stormed off pulling Aang along with her.
“Katara-” Katara water bended a wall between them and ran.
“Wow Sokka! You really screwed up this time!” Toph stated.
“UGH!” Sokka yelled.
(Act 5- Scene 2-The Lion Turtle’s Palace
“Um hey…Katara um…did you know… mean what you said about this being a date,” Aang asked. Katara stopped dead in her tracks just realizing what she said.
“Um I guess…yea…that is if it is one…because if it’s not I didn’t mean it…” she rambled.
“It-”
“He’s here! It’s the avatar! Finally I’m starving!!!” a bunch of guests gushed.
“We’re here!” Aang said.
“It is an honor to have you at the grand opening of The Lion Turtle’s Palace. We called this restaurant The Lion Turtle’s Palace because of the advice you got from the giant Lion Turtle. This restaurant is dedicated to you Avatar Aang,” the manager stated gratefully. Aang took the scissors and cut the ribbon officially opening The Lion Turtle’s Palace.
(Act 6- Scene 1- The Rooftop)
“Oh my god I can’t believe this entire restaurant has no meat what so ever…it’s a vegetarian paradise!!!” Aang exclaimed.
“Yeah it’s great…,” Katara said not really listening.
“Katara, are you okay?” Aang asked.
“No…,” Katara got up sadly and looked over the rooftop.
“Katara, Sokka didn’t mean any harm..,”
“Why’d he do it! I’m a big girl I can take care of myself,” Katara explained “I don’t need him hovering over me!”
“Well put yourself in his shoes. He’s watching his little sister grow up before his eyes. It’s not an easy process especially not for him. He’s used to you being his LITTLE sister, it’s a tough process…it’s hard for me to talk being that I’m an only child but-” Aang was cut off from a hug from Katara.
“Thank you Aang,” Katara thanked him warmly.
BOOM!!!!
“What was that?!” Aang yelled
BOOM!!!!
“I don’t know!” Katara yelled back.
(Act 6-Scene 2-the main floor)
“Okay everyone! I’m not here for any of you! But if you get in my way there will be consequences! Where is the avatar I have a message for him!” some big muscled bald guy with a tattoo of a poodle monkey barked.
“I’m right here! What do you want?!” Aang announced, Katara traveling behind him.
“You gotta catch me first!” Poodle Monkey guy ran.
The chase began and for a moment it seemed endless until Poodle Monkey Guy lead them to a dead end.
“This is it avatar,” Poodle Monkey Guy said.
“What do you want we’re not gonna ask again!!!” Katara demanded an answer but before she could get one Poodle Monkey Guy fire bended a wall and disappeared…all that was left was a note.
“I know who you are but you don’t know who I am. I have formed many allies so your always being watched even if you don’t know it. You have ruined my career and my life and I will make you pay…,” Aang read aloud.
“I wonder who it is…,” Katara said.
(Act 7- Scene 1- The Apartment)
“Thanks Aang, I had a great night…,” Katara blushed.
“It was nothing-” but before he could finish Katara kissed him quickly and ran inside. “Perfect…,”
